Soul Food is a cultural exchange project focused on the unifying experience of preparing and sharing food. Made possible with support from the DAC integration fund and Glór Ennis.

Soul Food

Soul Food is a way of fostering community that bridges space between people using memory and food.

On the 4th September we began the process of bringing people from different communities together with a biodiversity and foraging workshop from Oonagh O’Dwyer at Moy Community Garden. Pairs will begin the process of deciding what recipes they are most excited to make together, they will shop for ingredients and then come together to cook with one another for their friends and families.

We decided that the project shouldn’t end when the cameras stopped rolling. The seeds of community need to grow!

Christmas Screening

Soul Food was screened at Glór Arts Centre on November 24th for participants and friends. It was another chance to get together over food and think back over the project and friendships that are growing.
